DJI Dock 3 Automated Response Integration

Compatible with all fixed detection systems — seamless integration with DJI Dock 3. When a hostile drone is detected, precise coordinates are transmitted through the MQTT service bus, activating an autonomous response drone for visual verification and threat analysis. It supports popular DJI Dock 3 management applications (e.g. DJI FlightHub) and enables straightforward integration with any third-party system through the open MQTT protocol.

🌙 Real-world scenario: restricted area at night

A secured facility is monitored at night. A hostile drone is launched by a remote pilot. Globe Protect's passive RF system immediately detects the drone and determines the pilot's position through geolocation. The coordinates are sent to the management application, triggering an alert for the operators. The system automatically activates DJI Dock 3, and a Matrice 4TD is deployed within seconds. The drone autonomously flies to the pilot's location and begins tracking with a thermal camera. Operators confirm the threat and dispatch emergency services to the source — all without transmitting a single RF signal from the detection side.

📘 General Frequently Asked Questions — Detection & Jamming

Common questions about our core passive detection technology
Q: What is the maximum detection range of your systems?

Our systems offer a detection range of up to 6 km for typical consumer drones (DJI, Autel) and up to 10 km for larger tactical UAVs, depending on environmental factors and the drone's transmission power.

Q: How does passive detection differ from active radar?

Passive detection listens for RF emissions from the drone and the controller — it transmits nothing itself. Active radar sends out signals that can be detected by the drone operator. Passive is completely 'stealth' and generally faces fewer legal restrictions.

Q: Can the system distinguish between drones and birds?

Yes. Our AI classification module analyzes RF signatures, flight patterns, and optional sensor fusion to distinguish drones from birds or other RF sources with >98% accuracy.

Q: What data does the system provide about a detected drone?

Real-time information includes: drone model, frequency band, RSSI, bearing, estimated range, flight path, and pilot position (when using TDOA or Remote ID).

Q: Does the system comply with privacy and spectrum regulations?

Absolutely. Since our sensors are purely passive receivers (no transmission), they are exempt from most spectrum licensing requirements and do not interfere with communications. Fully compliant with GDPR and local privacy laws.

📘 DJI Dock 3 Integration — Frequently Asked Questions

Everything about autonomous response, MQTT workflow, and operational flexibility
Q: How exactly does the system activate the DJI Dock 3?

When our passive detection system identifies a drone and pilot, it publishes a JSON event (drone ID, coordinates, threat level) to the MQTT broker. The Dock 3 management application (FlightHub or a third party) is subscribed to this topic and launches the interceptor drone automatically.

Q: Can we use a different management application instead of FlightHub?

Absolutely. The integration is built on the open MQTT protocol, so any ground station software that can read MQTT topics and control the DJI Dock 3 can be used. We provide full API documentation.

Q: What is the typical total latency from detection to drone deployment?

In practice, the delay is less than 3 seconds for detection + geolocation, plus 5-8 seconds for the Dock 3 startup sequence. The total time from the first RF detection until the interceptor is airborne is typically less than 12 seconds.

Q: Which DJI Dock 3 models are supported?

The system works with the DJI Dock 3 and all future Dock variants that support the MQTT interface. Note: it is not compatible with Dock 2 due to differences in communication protocols.

Q: Is the video feed from the interceptor drone available in the same interface?

Yes. The management application displays the real-time video footage from the Matrice 4TD (or another compatible drone) alongside the detection map. Operators can toggle between thermal and visual imagery.

Q: What security measures are in place for MQTT communication?

All MQTT traffic is encrypted via TLS 1.3, and clients are authenticated using client certificates or tokens. The system supports on-premise brokers for 'air-gapped' (isolated) networks.

Q: Can we integrate the detection system without buying the full package?

Yes — the DJI Dock 3 is completely optional. The Globe Protect detection and jamming systems work perfectly as standalone units. You can start with individual sensors and add the Dock 3 integration license later if autonomous drone deployment is required.
